Danielle Chambers is a CESSRST Fellow at the University of Maryland Baltimore Country and pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Her research is on understanding how pH dependance affects the optical properties of Brown Carbon in aqueous environments. Understanding the chemistry of Brown Carbon is important because it plays a role in earths radiative forcing. This research helps NOAA meet its mission to better understand earths atmosphere and the chemistry within it to better equip us with knowledge need to deal with climate change .
