Modeling Complex 3-D Coastal-Urban Impacts on Air Quality Distribution: Evaluation Based on High- Spatial-Resolution NO2 Retrievals
Health impact assessment (HIA) is a common policy tool that quantifies health burden from air pollution under different policy scenarios. Most HIAs consider health impacts using risk estimates from single-pollutant models, leaving uncertainty about varying impacts from multiple air pollutants

Accelerating Earth System modeling is essential to improve weather forecast accuracy and lead time, which requires advancements in Earth System Science. There are many unmet observational needs in supporting Earth System Science research. Multi-platform and multi-sensor remote sensing is a major pathway to fill critical observation gaps to support Earth System process study, model initiation, and validation.
Thermodynamic and dynamical aspects of geophysical fluids are key to generating the everyday weather that we experience, as well as what the climate will be like in years to come. In this talk we will first review fundamental aspects of earth's atmospheric circulation, and how computer simulations are used as experimental playgrounds to understand climate
he global climate crisis is a prevalent issue that will disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. With rising temperatures, susceptibility to heat effects has caused concern about thermal comfort and urban heat during the summer. Prior work has indicated that urban heat islands (UHI) can have adverse health outcomes and can be exacerbated depending on geographic location, race-ethnicity, housing characteristics, and socioeconomic disparitie
